A "Little Ditty" about Jackie & Greg

Radio has been in my blood since I was born.  My Father (Jack) was a radio news dude at a station that had the calls "KBRF" in the town where I grew up, Fergus Falls, Minnesota. K-BARF as everyone affectionatly reffered to it, (needless to say the teasing never ceased!) was a cool station with a little bit of everything, perfect to please the little midwestern area I knew as Ottertail County.  Looking back, it was the best!  Dad would also spin 45's and send tunes to me before school.  One of my all time fav's was "Mockingbird" by James Taylor & Carly Simon.  "Me & You And a Dog Named Boo", from Lobo ran a close second!  Fast forward to present day, I'm celebrating 27 years in broadcasting with my father and listeners from Minnesota to Massachusetts to thank for the incredible memories!

Makin' Memories with my Morning Man Greg Byrne is a dream come true! A night owl by nature, I never thought getting up at 4 am would be so gratifying!  Thanks to Greg's "I'm the funny one" humor, I have difficulty composing myself half the time, I hope you can bear with me!  Interacting with our listeners is another thrill, I love going out and getting a chance to see you and catch up!

My English Bulldog "Pearl Jam" is the puppy love of my life! Look at her!  She has a Cookie Dough Fur Coat and a smile that melts my heart, what a girl!

Just who are these people ?!?!?!?!?!?
Getting up at 3:30 in the morning is a small price to pay for doing what I've wanted to my whole life.  Sure there's the addiction to coffee, the chronic sleep deprivation, and the inability to stay awake at the dinner table...but those are all minor annoyances when compared to the fun I have with Jackie on a daily basis.

When I was growing up in Lynn I wanted to be one of three things:
- a pitcher for the Red Sox;
- lead guitarist for a major late '70's rock band (except Rush, I never liked them);
-or, a wise-cracking guy on a morning radio show.

As with most childhood career dreams, things didn't really work out with the Sox or the rock star thing.  However, after getting a Master's Degree and working as a clinical social worker for 15-years, it was time for a change and my lovely (and extremely tolerant) wife Jean said I ought to go for the radio thing.  So off to Broadcasting School, an internship, and a job that paid little but got me in the door.  Now three years and a couple of  newsguy jobs later...here I am.

Jean and I have been married for 20 years and have two great kids Sam (15) and Jake (12).  When they're not watching me sleep in my chair in front of the TV, they play baseball and hockey all while making great grades in school (must be due to their mom).

We're also the proud people of Frank the Wonderdog.

He's a mutt we picked up at the Sterling Shelter http://www.sterlingshelter.org/. He's a great dog who happens to think he's human.  I don't really mind though except when he smokes in the house, or drinks my beer without replacing it.

And now we have Otis, the Boston Terrier who thinks he's a bull mastiff.

He's a great little guy who spends most of his time antagonizing Frank, eating, and sleeping.  Sometimes he forgets himself and he allows Frank to share his sunbeam.

Well..... it's kinda true.  David Duchovony did leave rehab, but it was because he had "completed treatment" not because he was denied conjugal visits.  Get the rest of the story below (Courtest of TMZ.com)

Duchovny's Out There, Again

David Duchovny's stint in sex-addict rehab has come and gone.

After two months doing whatever it is people do to get over wanting sex all the time, DD is "out of rehab," says his lawyer Larry Stein. "He successfully completed his treatment." Duchovny had gone into rehab in August.

The "Californication" star has also begun shooting a new movie, says Stein, and the new season of his Showtime show has begun.
