Hi there! Welcome to my little corner on the web. I come from far, far away… a place called... Hartford. On-top on being your mid-day host on WSRS, I'm also the Program Director overseeing all things behind the scenes. I'm a huge hockey fan & the Hartford Whalers will always be my team (even though they've been gone for 16 years). Radio has been my life for close to19 years and I really can’t picture myself doing much else. On the side, I’m an instructor at Connecticut School of Broadcasting, game host for the Springfield Falcons and back-up P.A. announcer for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers AHL hockey teams.
Music is a necessity… Kings of Leon, Counting Crows, Live, Train, Pearl Jam, U2, Sublime plus Led Zeppelin and the Allman Brothers Band are some of my favorites. Listen workdays for the latest entertainment news, contests and of course, great music! Thanks for stopping by!! -K
Just a little more about what makes me tick...
Favorite Movie: JAWS... Robert Shaw's "Quint" is the best movie character EVER! (quick trivia question: What kind of beer does Quint drink? Clue: It's made a nice comeback) Tombstone, Beautiful Girls, The Hangover and Old School are right up there too.
On the menu: Jimmy Buffet had it right.. nothing beats the perfect Cheeseburger! Pizza rocks too!!... oh and beer!... local beer! Berkshire Brewing Co in Western Mass, Olde Burnside Brewing in CT to name a few. Always on the lookout for something new to try. Email me with ideas!
...Carve a Pumpkin Day... If you don't carve a pumpkin by today, when will you get to it?
This is your last chance to carve a pumpkin because Halloween is tonight. Pull out your carving patterns and get to work... Or get crazy and carve the pumpkin freehand!! After it's done, get your costume on and go trick or treating... orrr just roast the pumpkin seeds, drink apple cider (or something a little stronger) watch a scary movie and enjoy!
Have a happy Carve a Pumpkin Day.
Pumpkin Carving Tip #62: Enlist a helper dog.
